Terms of Use

Healthyer is a general wellness tool. It is not a medical device and it does not give medical advice. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or condition, and it has not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulator. Decisions about your health belong with you and your clinician.
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Healthyer you agree to these Terms as they stand on the date above. The app also shows you a notice the first time it reads a check-up, and records the date you accepted it; that notice and these Terms are written to say the same things, and if they ever differ, these Terms govern.
Using Healthyer
You need an account to use the app, and you must be 13 or older. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own, non-commercial use. We may suspend or end that licence if these Terms are broken.
Allergies and intolerances
Do not use Healthyer to decide whether a food is safe for you to eat if you have an allergy or intolerance. The printed label on the pack in your hand is the only authority. Manufacturers reformulate, relabel and change production lines without notice, and a barcode can be reused for a different recipe.
Allergen information comes from a public database with incomplete coverage. Where the app has no allergen list and no ingredients for a product, it will tell you it could not check rather than clear it — but the absence of a warning is never a finding that a food is safe.
What the app does, and its limits
- It reads a check-up document you provide and summarises what it may mean for everyday food choices.
- Text is extracted from your PDF on your device, and that extraction can be incomplete or misaligned.
- The summary is produced by an automated system that includes a large language model. It can misread a value, miss a finding that matters, emphasise one that does not, or state something that is not in your document at all.
- Any limits shown are derived from population-level public guidance — including UK FSA front-of-pack bands, American Heart Association and WHO intake guidance, and American Diabetes Association categories — combined with figures you entered. They are estimates for a general adult, not a prescription for you.
- Food and nutrition information may be inaccurate, out of date, or missing for a given product. Always read the actual label.
- Using Healthyer does not create a doctor–patient, dietitian–client or any other professional relationship, and nothing it produces is a clinical judgement about you.
When to speak to a clinician first
General guidance is the wrong tool in some situations. Please talk to a qualified professional before relying on anything here if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if the app is being used for a child; if you have chronic kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, a swallowing or absorption disorder, or a history of disordered eating; if you take medication with dietary interactions such as anticoagulants, MAO inhibitors or potassium-sparing diuretics; or if you have been given a specific therapeutic diet. In each of those, their instruction is the one that counts.
In an emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number rather than opening this app.
Your content
The documents you add remain yours. The file itself stays encrypted on your device and is never uploaded; redacted clinical text is sent to be read, and the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is and is not transmitted, and to whom. You confirm you are entitled to use any document you add.
Acceptable use
Do not upload other people's medical records without their permission, attempt to break or probe the service, or use the app to provide medical or dietetic services to anyone else. If you do any of those, you agree to cover us for claims that arise from it.
Availability and changes
The app is provided as-is, and we may change or withdraw features. If we make a material change to these Terms we will show a notice in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use Healthyer after that date means you accept the revised Terms.
No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Healthyer is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty of any kind — express, implied or statutory — including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be available, uninterrupted or error-free, or that any reading, limit or verdict it produces is correct, complete or suitable for you. You use Healthyer at your own risk and are responsible for checking what it shows against the product label and, where it matters, with a qualified professional.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MaeTara LLC and its officers, employees, agents and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, or for any personal injury, illness or health outcome, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use Healthyer — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to Healthyer will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.
If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest stays in force. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under any non-waivable consumer protection law.
Governing law and where disputes are heard
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas. Where the law of your home country or state gives you rights that cannot be waived by agreement, nothing here removes them. Nothing in these Terms limits any remedy available to you under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices–Consumer Protection Act to the extent that Act does not permit it.
Entire agreement, and what survives
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and MaeTara LLC about Healthyer, and replace anything said elsewhere about it. The sections headed No warranty, Liability, Product data and Governing law survive the end of your account. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
Product data
Food and nutrition information comes from Open Food Facts, an open database contributed to by the public and made available under the Open Database License (ODbL), which we attribute in the app wherever that data is shown. We do not create, verify or control it, it may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date for any given product, and we accept no liability for it.
The verdicts, limits and summaries Healthyer produces are computed from that data. They carry all of its uncertainty, and they are general information rather than a finding about the pack in your hand. Always check the pack — particularly where an allergy or intolerance is involved. Anthropic PBC and Google are our service providers for parts of this processing; they are not responsible for content they did not write.
